 The STARS PTO Mini Grant Program provides funding for projects, activities, equipment, and innovative ideas that enhance the educational experience of STARS students. 

All STARS teachers and staff are eligible to apply. Applications may be submitted individually or collaboratively with other teachers or staff members. 

• Applications are due by the last day of each month.
• The PTO Board will review applications during the following month's board meeting.
• Applicants will be notified of the board's decision after the meeting.

Applications will be reviewed by:

• STARS PTO Board
• Mrs. Ridgeway
• Mrs. Craven

We encourage creative ideas—no project is too big or too small to be considered! When reviewing applications, the committee will consider:

1. Equity: Funding decisions will be made with consideration for fair distribution across grade levels, classrooms, and school programs.
2. Student Impact: Preference will be given to projects that benefit the greatest number of students, teachers, and staff.
3. Sustainability: Priority may be given to projects that strengthen or enhance existing school programs and utilize STARS staff rather than funding outside presenters or services.

1. All materials and equipment purchased through the STARS PTO Mini Grant Program become the property of STARS.
2. The PTO will purchase all approved grant items directly. Reimbursement requests are generally not permitted unless approved in advance.
3. Applications requesting less than $400 will be reviewed and voted on by the STARS PTO Board.
4. Applications requesting $400 or more will require approval by both the STARS PTO Board and Mrs. Ridgeway and Mrs. Craven before funding can be awarded.
5. Grant recipients agree to share the impact of their project after implementation. Once students have benefited from the grant (or the project has begun for ongoing initiatives), recipients will submit a brief summary describing:
   • How the grant was used
   • The impact on students and/or staff
   • Any measurable outcomes or successes

The PTO loves celebrating the incredible work happening at STARS! Recipients are encouraged to submit photos or other materials (when appropriate) that showcase their project. These updates may be featured in PTO meetings, newsletters, social media, the PTO website, or other school communications to highlight the positive impact of the Mini Grant Program and inspire future support.
