There is a great after school care program right at the school offering care until 5:30pm.   For any questions regarding Afterschool Care, please contact Mrs. Law at btaylor@starscharter.org 

Monday-Thursday: 3:30-5:30

Remediation Fridays: 12:30-3:00 

Early Release Fridays: 1:00-3:00

Mrs. Jones & other teachers have a variety of after school options including: Ballet, Tap, Modern, Pointe, Color Guard, Cheer, Yoga, Dance Fit, Jazz and More!  Please contact Mrs. Jones for more info: CJones@starscharter.org. The registration link for the 2024-2025 ADP (Afterschool Dance Program).

They offer 4 locations in our area, for a list of which ones STARS goes to & for more information, please visit: https://sandhillsbgc.org/ Note: The STARS School Bus will take your student directly to the Boys & Girls Club in Southern Pines, but you must be signed up for bus service. Bus information will come out 8/1/2024 Bus Route Information

Additional opportunities will be offered throughout the school year including books clubs, STEM Clubs etc. Those clubs are grade specific and information will be sent home from your child's teacher. 

Scouts do not meet at the school. 

Girl Scouts: In the past, there has been a Girl Scout Representative at Back to School Night. To find a troop visit this link. 

Boy Scouts: To find a local Scout Group visit this link. 

Sometimes your student may need remediation. This is extra time the teacher will spend in smaller groups or one on one as needed. You will be notified if your child needs to go to remediation. Generally No Cost.

Drop Zone Kids in Southern Pines offers a "School’s Out Special" where kids 5-12 years old can stay up to 8 hours.

Sandhills Gymnastics in Aberdeen offers day camps on some days.
