What does your annual dues cover?
The STARS PTO is a nonprofit organization that operates independently from the school. Membership dues help cover the operational expenses that allow us to serve our school community throughout the year.
Examples include:
Website hosting and technology
Insurance and accounting services
Required nonprofit filings
Printing and communication materials
Event planning resources
Volunteer support
New family engagement initiatives
Childcare during PTO meetings (planned for this year)
Every fundraiser we host supports our students, teachers, and school, while membership dues help keep the PTO operating behind the scenes.
Do I Have to Join to Volunteer?
Absolutely not! Everyone can volunteer, attend events, and support our school. Membership is an optional way to support the PTO and helps fund everything we do.
What Happens After I Join?
After submitting your membership and payment, join the private 2026–2027 STARs PTO Facebook group. Volunteers and committee members will be contacted with next steps.
Why Are We Moving to a New Facebook Group?
Each school year, we create a new private Facebook group to keep information current and ensure we're reaching current STARs PTO families.
